While researching some acreage in NY State, I saw this strange crop formation. But it’s clearly some sort of dirt bike or ATV course through the woods....scale is tough, but some of the hairpins on the left look too narrow for a car. There appears to be a long straight through the trees at the bottom, and set up for multiple configurations as well.
What’s ya think, Oppo?
It’s also near another club track I never heard of....still researching and will update on that one later today. (Damn you Google maps. Damn you to hell for eating up hours of my day that I really don’t have!!!)

I’ve even discussed it with the wife, we’ve always planned to buy a bunch of acreage up north in Michigan when we retire. She wants 100 acres (mainly to ensure it can’t be developed) I say we buy 100, I use 1 for an awesome Rally Course, we use 1 to have a nice home on and then 98 goes preserved.

Any one can DIY rally course. You just have to drive into the middle of nowhere.

I heard you like hairpins, dog...
...yes, those are chassis scrapes on the insides of the corners. Yes, that is a wooden suspension bridge. Yes, I have driven on it. And the locals take it at speeds that are pretty impressive.

Cool! I’ve done some off-roading in Maine on private land in my Touareg, but the roads (or should I say rocks and tree stumps) have not been used in many years. Many fears were had.

The weirdest thing was, the road I took to get to the trailhead was in worse shape than the trail. I mean it was a no-maintenance dirt road, but still... the other was a TRAIL...

An acre is only ~210 x 210 feet. That small track above (a little over 3/4 mile total) is on 15 acres. So I’d budget at least 10 for your course.
